Move Vagrant virtual machine, keep everything (database, virtual hosts etc..)

The solution

Export (Backup)

1. Export your virtual machine

  1. Select the VM to export
  2. Enter the output file path and name
  1. You can choose a format, which I always leave the default OVF 1.

2. Backup your vagrant folder

Import (Restore)

1. Import your VirtualBox machine

2. Get the ID of the imported machine

List of VirtualBox machines’ names and ids
